If you’re thinking about Mets third baseman David Wright bouncing back and having a superstar season… well, let’s just say you shouldn’t count on it.

Back problems don’t exactly disappear, especially when it is a major back problem like the 33-year-old has suffered through. Mets GM Sandy Alderson said the goal is for him to play 130 games. He’s only accomplished that twice in the past five seasons, and now he’s barely removed from serious back issues.

RotoAce has initially ranked Wright 17th among third basemen, with a pretty generous projection of 488 plate appearances, 14 HRs, 60 RBIs and a .786 OPS. To go into the season counting on more than that would be a bit foolish.
