DFS pitchers for May 8

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Milwaukee Brewers

We’re diving into the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) craze and will be bringing you the two pitchers we’re using in Draft Kings with other possibilities as well.

Jimmy Nelson: The Brewers righty has pitched well in four out of five starts (2.03 ERA besides bad start) and is a tremendous value at home against the strikeout-prone Cubs at a $6,200 price point. Using Nelson allowed us to use studs like Bryce Harper, Jose Bautista and Josh Donaldson.

James Shields: The Padres ace has the No. 1 swinging strike percentage (15.1%) and is certainly enjoying his switch to the NL (3-0, 11.9 K/9, 3.72 ERA, 2.82 xFIP). He’s our favorite value of the high-priced aces today at $8,800 at the D-backs.

We also like Sonny Gray at Seattle for $9,800, Gio Gonzalez vs. Atlanta for $9,500 and Miguel Gonzalez at the Yankees for $6,300. We’re stacking from the Blue Jays-Red Sox matchup between Aaron Sanchez and Wade Miley.
