DFS pitchers for May 23

Updated: May 23, 2015

We’re diving into the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) craze and will be bringing you the two pitchers we’re using in Draft Kings with other possibilities as well.

Rubby De La Rosa: The D-backs flame-thrower seems to be in the midst of a breakout, but the masses haven’t caught on yet. On the season, De La Rosa has a 3.39 xFIP with a 8.0 K/9 and 2.0 BB/9 that hides behind a 4.08 ERA. He has a 2.35 ERA and a 16-4 K-BB ratio over his last three starts covering 23 innings. He’s a bargain at $7,300 for a home start against the strikeout-prone Cubs.

Mike Wright: The Orioles rookie had a tremendous MLB debut in his last start, holding the Angels to just four hits and no runs in 7.1 innings with six strikeouts and no walks. At just $6,100 for a start at Miami, Wright allowed us to load up on stars like Buster Posey in Coors Field and Mike Trout against Boston rookie knuckleballer Steven Wright.
