DFS pitchers for April 18

Philadelphia Phillies v New York Mets

We’re diving into the Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) craze and will be bringing you the two pitchers we’re using in Draft Kings with other possibilities as well.

Jacob deGrom: The Mets’ flame-thrower has been dominant thus far and has a favorable matchup against Miami at home and shaky Mat Latos. At $8,400, he’s a cheap alternative to the higher-priced aces. He’s $1,800 cheaper than the ice-cold Masahiro Tanaka.

Zack Greinke: The Dodgers’ ace No. 2 has looked like a Cy Young candidate so far with a 0.69 ERA in two starts and draws the Rockies away from Coors Field, usually a good thing. The $9,600 price tag is a bit steep, but not too much to keep from getting a few studs in the lineup.

We love Felix Hernandez too, but he left his last start with a tight quad and his price point is the highest at $11,200. Yordano Ventura at $7,800 tempted us, but he’s left his first two starts early with cramping issues. Dallas Keuchel at $7,100 is our next favorite value, but he’s got to deal with red-hot Mike Trout.

We’re stacking our lineups with Mariners (Logan Morrison $3,200 and Brad Miller at $3,500) against Colby Lewis and going with blazing-hot Stephen Vogt ($3,600), Nelson Cruz ($4,500) and Trout ($5,200).
